Toyota recently unveiled a 2-passenger, 3-wheeled, short-range electric vehicle which will be undergoing testing in Japan. It looks like it would be useful for running off to the store or doing other neighborhood errands. With protection from the elements, room for another person or some cargo, and a sit-down position, it's a big step up from a Segway.
I'd like to try one!
